IMEX America 2026 recap: A CEO’s view from Las Vegas
29.10.2026
IMEX America brings together hotel groups, event planners and technology providers from all over the world. For a company focused on modern hotel sales, it is exactly the kind of room you want to be in.
Last week, we headed to Las Vegas for IMEX America, one of the biggest MICE events of the year. It was our first time at the show and my first time in the US.
Filip, Naseer and I spent three packed days meeting hospitality and events professionals, catching up with familiar faces from the industry, and making plenty of new connections.
Same industry, different city
One thing struck me right away: hospitality events feel remarkably similar wherever they take place. Berlin, London or Las Vegas, the atmosphere is always international, and the differences between shows are smaller than you might expect.
The big players are always there with impressive stands and their key people on hand. The real variety comes from the smaller boutique hotels, each with their own story and style, and you notice some nuances depending on the target market. But overall, the feeling in Vegas was just as international as it is in ITB Berlin.
Why does meeting in person still matter in the hospitality business?
When it comes to sales, marketing and trade shows, the hotel industry and professionals are still fairly traditional, and honestly, that has its charm. Our meetings with buyers, organizers, technology providers, and hotels were rewarding and felt meaningful.
Everyone was fully present and eager to learn more. Remote meetings and virtual tools are great for many things, and we build them ourselves, but a certain human touch is always missing when you are not in the same room. Shaking hands, reading the room and having a spontaneous coffee conversation still create relationships in a way remote meetings cannot.
Seidat Visit in the spotlight
We came to Las Vegas with our renewed product, Seidat Visit, a virtual sales presentation tool, together with our Sales Platform. Over three active days, we met almost 50 hotel chains and had hundreds of conversations.
It was pleasing to see how much interest this kind of tool attracted. The feedback confirmed that we have been working on the right things and Seidat has established itself as a forerunner in the virtual tour category. Hotel teams immediately saw how interactive presentations help them stand out and win more business, and many were pleased with what they saw in the demos.
Las Vegas as a business destination
As a business travel destination, Las Vegas is built for events like this. Huge resort hotels, conference spaces and restaurants sit side by side, so you can go from the show floor to a client dinner without ever really leaving the venue. Everything runs on big scale and the logistics worked smoothly.
The flip side is the pace. The city never really slows down, the distances inside the resorts are longer than they look, and the desert air and jet lag from Europe catch up with you. Good shoes, plenty of water and a well-planned meeting schedule are essential. Still, the energy of the city fits a trade show perfectly.
Next stop: WTM London
Next week, we travel to WTM London to keep spreading the word about modern sales presentations, AI, and AI-powered sales content management.
If you are attending WTM, we would love to meet you. Drop us a message and let’s book a time to talk about how your sales team can present, sell and win in a smarter way.
