CTO-Track Opportunity: Head of Engineering at Seidat

Seidat is building the modern Digital Sales Room platform for hotels, a visual, interactive, AI-enabled environment that helps hotels sell meetings & events, group bookings, and corporate business more effectively.
Today, Seidat serves more than 20,000 users in 30 countries and generates over 1M€ in ARR. We are strengthening our technical leadership to support the next phase of rapid growth. Our ambition is to become the leading sales technology platform for hotels across Europe.
We are now hiring a Head of Engineering on a clear path toward the CTO role.
Seidat’s product is entering a scaling phase that requires a strong technology leader. Our current lead developer is transitioning out, and the company needs someone who wants to run engineering, not just contribute to it.
Role Overview
The Head of Engineering will lead Seidat’s technical function with a mandate to evolve into the CTO role as the company scales. You will shape the system architecture, guide product-level decisions, establish engineering practices, and build the team needed to support our growth.
You will work closely with the CEO and CRO, ensuring technology, product strategy, and commercial goals move in sync.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Architecture
- Own the architectural direction and ensure scalability, security, and performance
- Lead modernization efforts where needed (frontend, backend, infrastructure)
- Define engineering standards and drive technical excellence
Product Strategy & Execution
- Translate market and customer needs into actionable technical plans
- Ensure integrations with key hospitality systems (PMS, CRS, M&E tools)
- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of product development
Team Building & Engineering Organization
- Build and lead a high-performing engineering team
- Recruit and mentor developers as the team grows
- Establish clear processes across development, QA, and DevOps
Leadership & Ownership
- Participate in leadership team work, budgeting, and long-term product planning
- Contribute directly to company-level strategic decisions
- Prepare to assume the full CTO role as we grow
AI-Enabled Solutions
- Drive implementation of AI-based proposal automation, content generation, and sales optimization
- Identify opportunities to embed AI into core workflows, not as siloed features
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with React, Node, MongoDB, AWS/GCP
- Experience building and scaling SaaS products
- Proven knowledge of hospitality tech stack
- Ability to design architecture that supports multi-property, enterprise use
- Proven ability to lead and develop engineering teams
- Strong execution mindset and ability to take ownership
- Fluent written and spoken English
